Privacy policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Summary
- The text and files you put into the tools on Case Converter Online are processed in your browser. They are not uploaded to us, and we cannot see them.
- You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name or email address to use any tool.
- A few settings and your current text are saved in your own browser so they are still there next time. You can clear them at any time.
- Our host, Cloudflare, processes basic technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site.
- We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and tools are used. It never receives the text you enter in the tools.
- The site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads, including ads based on your interests. You can turn personalised ads off.
Who we are
This policy covers caseconverteronline.com and its pages in every language. "We", "us" and "our" mean the operator of Case Converter Online. If you have a question about this policy or about your data, contact us at [email protected].
Text and files you enter
All conversions run on your own device using JavaScript. When you type, paste or open a file in a tool, the content is read and changed by code in your browser tab. It is not sent to our servers or to anyone else, and closing the tab removes it from memory.
- Documents. PDF and Word files you open in the converters are read on your device. They are not uploaded.
- Images. Pictures you choose in the ASCII art generator and the image to text converter are read on your device and never uploaded.
- Text recognition files. To read text from an image, the image to text converter downloads its recognition program and language data from cdn.jsdelivr.net, a public file delivery network, the first time you use it. Like any web server, cdn.jsdelivr.net receives your IP address and browser details when it sends those files. No text or image from the page is included in that request.
Information stored in your browser
Some tools save information in your browser's local storage so it is still there when you come back. Local storage is kept on your device. It is not sent to us with each page request in the way a cookie is.
- Theme: whether you chose the light or dark theme.
- Text: the current contents of the case converter box, so your text follows you between case tools.
- Reference list: citations you add in the APA citation generator, until you clear the list.
- Recognition data: the language files downloaded by the image to text converter, so later scans start faster.
To remove this information, use the Clear button in the tool, or clear the site data for caseconverteronline.com in your browser settings.
Information collected automatically
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information needed to deliver pages and keep the service secure, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you requested and the time of the request. This information is used to deliver the site, to block abusive traffic and to fix technical problems. We do not use it to identify individual visitors. Cloudflare's handling of this data is described in the Cloudflare privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google LLC, to understand how the site is used: how many people visit, which pages and tools they open, how they arrived (for example from a search engine or a link), and what kind of device, browser and screen they use, along with their approximate location at country or city level. This helps us decide which tools to improve and which new ones to build.
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies, such as _ga and _ga_*, to tell visits apart and to recognise a returning browser. It does not log or store full IP addresses. It does not receive the text, files or images you use in the tools, because those never leave your browser. We do not use Google Analytics to identify you, and we do not combine its reports with any other information about you.
You can stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies for this site in your browser. Google explains how it handles this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. The tools do not need cookies to work. The cookies used on this site are analytics cookies set by Google Analytics, as described above; advertising cookies set by Google and its partners, as described in the next section; and a strictly necessary security cookie that Cloudflare may set to tell people from automated traffic.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The tools keep working without cookies, although blocking them may change the ads you see and means your visit is not counted in our statistics.
Advertising and Google AdSense
Case Converter Online uses Google AdSense, an advertising service provided by Google LLC, to show ads. Ads help pay for hosting and development so the tools can stay free.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and to other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and to other sites on the internet.
- Ad partners may also use cookies or similar technology to measure how ads perform, to limit how often you see the same ad and to detect fraud.
You can choose how ads are personalised for you:
- Turn off personalised advertising from Google in Google's Ads Settings. You will still see ads, but they will not be based on your interests.
- Opt out of personalised advertising from many other ad companies at aboutads.info, or at youronlinechoices.eu if you are in Europe.
- Read how Google uses information from sites that show its ads at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent before cookies are used for personalised ads, and you can change your choice at any time. Without consent, Google may show non-personalised ads, which use cookies only for purposes such as fraud prevention and frequency capping where the law allows.
The text you enter in the tools is never shared with Google or with any advertising partner by us.
Legal bases for processing
Where data protection laws such as the GDPR or the UK GDPR apply, technical data processed by our host is handled on the basis of our legitimate interest in delivering a secure, working website. Analytics cookies and cookies for personalised advertising are used only with your consent where that consent is required by law.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Because we do not collect your text, your name or your email address through the tools, we usually hold no personal data about you. If you email us, we keep your message only as long as needed to answer it.
If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you may have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of advertising cookies being used to personalise ads, use Google's Ads Settings or the opt-out pages listed above, or turn on the Global Privacy Control in a browser that supports it.
Requests about data held by Google or Cloudflare can be made to those companies directly, using the links above.
How long data is kept
Text you enter stays on your device until you clear it. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to answer them and to follow up on bug reports. Google Analytics keeps visit data for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, after which it is deleted automatically. Technical logs and advertising data are kept by Cloudflare and Google for the periods set out in their own privacy policies.
International transfers
Cloudflare and Google operate servers in many countries, so technical and advertising data may be processed outside the country you live in. Both companies use legal safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.
Children
The site is a general tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served only over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Because the tools process your text on your device, it is never stored on our servers where it could be exposed in a breach.
Links to other websites
Some pages link to other websites for reference. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies when you visit them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date at the top. Significant changes, such as adding a new analytics or advertising service, will be made here before they take effect.
Contact
For any question about this policy or your data, write to us using the email address in the "Who we are" section above, or visit the contact page.
